Josh Stemper - Guitar Instructor
Josh first picked up a guitar at the age of ten to emulate the playing of Slash, Metallica, and many forms of classic rock. As his playing evolved, his focus shifted to improvising, music theory, and jazz guitar. Having studied guitar at both Northern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Josh definitely knows his way around the fretboard. With over 20 years experience as an educator, he offers a unique teaching style that focuses on the goals and musical needs of his students. Drawing on many years as a touring musician and recording artist, he is comfortable teaching all styles including rock, jazz, funk, metal, country, finger-style, classical, and folk, as well as gaming music such as Minecraft, Fortnite and whatever is cool with the kids these days! Josh works with students of all ages. In addition to all guitar, Josh also offers, ukulele, piano and vocal instruction.
